Every Weekend, Something Happens At Dreams On Command

When we opened the doors to THERE ARE PEOPLE HERE, we weren’t interested in creating an exhibition that simply hangs on the wall for a month.

We wanted to create a place people return to.

After an incredible opening reception, we’re excited to announce a month of artist talks and public programming that invites visitors to experience the exhibition in a completely different way. Every weekend offers a chance to hear directly from the artists, ask questions, and spend time with the ideas behind the work.

Whether you’re an artist, collector, photographer, or simply someone who enjoys meaningful conversation, these events are designed to be welcoming, intimate, and engaging. Wine and light snacks will be served at every event.

Join photographer Brandon Sheer as he discusses his creative process, the stories behind his photographs, and his experience documenting everyday American life through a quiet, cinematic lens. The conversation will conclude with an audience Q&A.

Artist Talk with Rim Albahrani

Sunday, August 2
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Artist Rim Albahrani will discuss her multidisciplinary practice, the themes explored throughout her work, and the personal experiences that inform her paintings before opening the floor for questions.

Artist Talk with Victor Perez

Saturday, August 8
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Painter Victor Perez shares the inspiration behind his emotionally rich figurative work, his creative process, and the symbolism found throughout his paintings, followed by an audience Q&A.

One of our goals at Dreams On Command is to build a gallery that’s active, welcoming, and deeply connected to the creative community. People throw words like community, art, culture around a lot. We're putting our money where our mouth is.

Great exhibitions don't end on opening night. They evolve through conversations, new perspectives, and the people who continue to walk through the door.

Throughout the year, we’ll continue expanding our public programming with artist talks, curator walkthroughs, screenings, performances, and other events that bring artists and audiences together in meaningful ways.
