There Are People Here: Our Debut Group Exhibition
Join us for Dreams On Command’s debut group exhibition, featuring five artists exploring the hidden meaning within ordinary life.
Dreams On Command's Debut Group Exhibition
The gallery is proud to present There Are People Here, the first group exhibition at Dreams On Command and the next step in our mission to showcase emerging contemporary artists in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Opening on July 11, There Are People Here brings together the work of Brandon Sheer, Anna Friemoth, Victor Perez, Rim Albahrani, and Jesse Warner.
Curated by Marcelo Mayen, the exhibition explores the emotional, cultural, and psychological weight carried by ordinary objects, familiar spaces, and everyday human necessities. Eating. Cooking. Living. Thinking. Loneliness. Remembering.
Each artist approaches the familiar from a distinct perspective. Homes become not a place of origin, but a form through which to think. The spaces of strangers become opportunities for connection. Food becomes an expression of identity. Household objects inspire fantastical, surreal visuals.
Together, these works remind us that behind every ordinary object, familiar space, and everyday necessity, there are stories waiting to be discovered. There are people.
Join us for the opening reception on Saturday, July 11, from 6:00–9:00 PM, featuring live ambient soundscapes by NeoZeema.
We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate the opening of Dreams On Command’s debut group exhibition and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the gallery.
