Victor Perez

In his colorful and disquieting paintings, Victor Perez explores psychological states repressed beneath shiny exteriors. Drawing upon personal experiences, he often binds childhood memories to current feelings of uncertainty, alienation, and helplessness. The work is cold yet visceral, vibrant yet withholding, and teems with humor to mask an underlying discomfort. Perez holds a BFA from the University of Florida and a MFA from Hunter College in 2021. He has shown nationally and internationally with exhibitions at D.D.D.D. (New York, NY), Moosey Gallery (London, UK), Spring Break Art Fair Artist Spotlight (New York, NY) and his work has been featured in New American Paintings. He lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
